Sunset Beach

I have always been a big fan of the sunset.  It's the beautiful grand finale to even the worst day.  This particular shot was caught just walking by one evening.  I loved the contrast of the shadowy foreground scenery against the vivid colors of the sunset.  In order to catch this contrast in a photo, I took the picture without the flash so that the foreground would remain in shadow.  You don't have to go anywhere tropical in order to see a beautiful sunset or to take a great picture of one.
